It is with great pride and deep appreciation that I step into the role of President of the Association of School Transportation Services of British Columbia (ASTSBC). I am truly honored to serve alongside such a passionate, knowledgeable, and committed group of professionals who share a unified goal: ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of students across our province.
For over three decades, I have had the privilege of working within the school transportation sector, and I continue to be inspired by the dedication and resilience of those in our field. Whether navigating operational challenges, implementing innovative training programs, or advocating for student safety, our collective efforts have made a lasting impact on communities and families throughout British Columbia.
At the heart of our Association lies a clear and ambitious vision—to be the Centre of Excellence that empowers the student transportation industry. As we look ahead, this vision will guide every initiative we undertake, every standard we uphold, and every partnership we foster.
Our mission is equally powerful: to set the highest standards in safety, reliability, and sustainability; to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and promote best practices that enhance the transportation experience for every student. This mission captures the essence of who we are and what we stand for as professionals dedicated to student well-being.
As President, I look forward to working closely with all of you—members, partners, and stakeholders—to build on our achievements and address new challenges with innovation, integrity, and shared purpose.
